An exchange traded fund or ETF, is an investment that owns the securities in a stock or bond index. For example, an ETF that tracks an index like the S&P 500, would virtually own all of the stocks that compose the index. ETF advantages include no minimun investments, low-cost structure, and tax efficiency. We believe ETFs are currently the lowest cost method of pursuing a global asset-class investing strategy. However, we will happily customize client portfolios with individual common stocks, mutual funds, or other assets if appropriate.
